Who we are

Global School of Open Learning (GSOL) is the Open and Distance Learning Directorate of Centre for Global Leadership Development (CGLD).

Founded in the year 1951, the institution has seen its name change a few times.  To begin with, in 1951 CGLD was Southern Asia Bible Institute, then and later in 1971, Southern Asia Bible College.  In the year 2007, SABC’s board felt the need to rechristen it as Centre for Global Leadership Development keeping in mind the growing vision of the institution.

While SABC continues its original mission of developing ministers, CGLD has given rise to three more schools to diversify its efforts to develop generations of leaders for the Church and World – Global School of Counselling, Global School of Media, Arts and Communications and Global School of Open Learning (GSOL).
