DB512: How we got our Bible (B6)
Most Christians understand that the Bible they hold in their hands is the inspired Word of God. Yet very few have a general understanding of the origin of the Bible. This course is designed to acquaint the beginning student of Scripture with textual, transmission, and Bible translation issues. The student will be able to explain the process by which we have a Bible in the English language today, and why we can be confident that it is textually reliable.

DN533: The Synoptic Gospel
This three-credit hour course is designed to closely study the three Synoptic Gospels so as to acquaint the student with a comprehensive understanding of the life and message of Jesus Christ. The course will also examine the unique characteristics of each of these Gospels.
Course Objectives To help the students:
- To acquire an in-depth comprehension of the Synoptic Gospels.
- To lead the student to a mature understanding of the Synoptic Gospels in terms of the life and message of Jesus Christ and their value and relevance to our faith.
- To survey each of the three Synoptic Gospels in terms of their origin, authorship, theology, and contents.

DG520: Research and Writing Methods (B6)
Research and Writing Methods is a two-credit hour foundational course in Post-Graduate studies. To help learner grasp the importance of research as they develop research skills and competencies would be the main objective of this course. During the course, learners will be introduced to various methods and methodologies involved in doing research while they sharpen their research writing and presentation skills.
At the core of this course is the belief that self is at the centre of any learning process and that self is able to compose a world conducive to knowing, thinking and creating. And so the study shall begin with a section on self and then progress to looking at other aspects of research like knowing, thinking and creating. So in a manner of speaking it is not only the academic course but also the Spiritual Transformation course.

DB510: Overview of the Inter-testamental Period (REDO-B3/B4/B5)
This course on the Inter-testamental Period (ITP) is designed to introduce briefly to the political and socio-cultural history of the Second Temple Period (STP) and religious development within Judaism during that period and their impact on the Jesus Movement. The course will inform that it was one of the most important periods in the history of Israel that led to the writing of the Second Temple Literature (STL) and expansion of the Palestinian Jewish canon in Alexandria and the impact of the STL in the New Testament. The students will be able to appreciate the STL in continuity with the Former Testament and in connection with the New Testament in leading humanity to God according to his end purpose.

- A deeper understanding of God and his redemptive work throughout history
- A foundational knowledge about the literary, historical, and theological issues behind the Old Testament and its various books
- A grasp on issues of interpretation, geography, archaeology, and the formation of the Old Testament canon
- Insight into the background, purpose, message, structure, and major themes of each section of the Old Testament
- Insight into the Old Testament’s relationship to the New Testament

History tells a story. It tells about the Who, What, Where, When, and Why of the past. A History of Christianity is more than Church history, more than theological history, and more than a collection of Christian biographies. Yet it contains elements of all of these.
In this course, we discuss the terms history and Church, the Christian perspective of history, and the task of the historian. The story of the birth of the Church on the Day of Pentecost and its development up to the Protestant Reformation.
